Formed in 1993 the society now has over 50 members, their interests are in the building and operating of miniature steam road vehicles and stationary steam plant. We are situated in a part of the West Midlands known as The Black Country, the name being derived from the effects of the heavy industry which concentrated in the area from the time of the industrial revolution, majority of which has now disappeared. Our home base is at The Bratch
Pumping Station in Wombourne. Built in 1897 to provide a water
supply to the nearby town of Insurance and boiler testing facilities are available to members through our affiliation with The Southern Federation Of Model Engineering Societies. |
